My name is George and I have been playing guitar for over 14 years in many different styles, but primarily Rock & Blues improvisation. I played full time as a street musician earning a living wage from 2022-2024 in many different cities before pausing my travels and studying Classical Music on the Violin.
Since becoming musically literate in a traditional sense it has become painfully clear to me that my progress on guitar was significantly hindered by a lack of theoretical understanding and that for Rock & Blues improvisation, having little to no theoretical understanding is actually promoted through concepts such as the "Pentatonic Scale".
The main asset I aim to share with my students is a fundamental understanding of full 7 note scales (and the knowledge of how to use them!) so that guitarists can fluently speak in the beautiful world of music - no longer hindered by the lazy shortcuts we are taught at first.

Wether it is your first day on guitar or you are a seasoned player, I will be happy to work with you and guide you through the process of playing and understanding one of the greatest forms of expression in all of music - guitar improvisation. Playing spontaneously and with a deep rooted technical understanding of the notes with which you choose to do so is far to often overcomplicated and presented as unachievable for those without classical training. Having studied both classical and contemporary music intensively, I am here to bridge the gap without confusion - but most importantly, to show you how to apply your soul to your guitar playing .
